1. Accounts

• ✅ You must be 18+ and use Upwork only for business purposes (not personal).
• ✅ Provide accurate info on your profile or risk suspension.
• ✅ Only one account per person (but you can add Freelancer, Client, or Agency types).
• ✅ Never share your password—only invite others as Team/Agency Members.
• ✅ Expect identity/location verification from Upwork.

2. Relationship with Upwork

• ✅ Upwork is a marketplace only, not your employer.
• ✅ You’re responsible for vetting clients, contracts, and services.
• ✅ You pay your own taxes and insurance.
• ✅ Feedback and ratings are public and permanent—Upwork doesn’t guarantee accuracy.

3. Contracts Between Client & Freelancer

• ✅ Contracts are between you and the client—Upwork isn’t a party.
• ✅ You can add your own terms (e.g. NDAs), but they can’t override Upwork’s terms.
• ✅ Disputes must follow Upwork’s Escrow dispute process.
• ✅ Keep client information confidential unless agreed otherwise.
